Nickolas graduated with a BA in Creative Writing with a strong focus on history. This experience helped him to become a creative and professional writer in varying areas. In college he spent several semesters learning Japanese and helping run a Japanese culture club due to his interest in the country and its history and exports. This sprung from being a lifelong gamer and wanting to learn more about the country that birthed his favorite pastime. Enjoying many genres ranging from RPG to puzzles to action and many in-between, he firmly believes that while gameplay is important, a game isn't quite right without a solid story. Much of his writing will thus be about elements of narrative and how they work, whether it is on a small scale or something grander. For as a certain professor puts it: "A gentleman never leaves a puzzle unsolved".
