This expansion pack comes with 5 mini regions, each with its unique creatures and environmental features. Although you can tame them, flyers are disabled, and travel means teleporting between these regions.

Introducing incredible creatures, like the dangerous Magmasaur, the moveable base: Megachelon, and the cute Ferox, as well as missions that uncover loot, including Tek equipment, this map is truly one of the best.

Despite the trouble and hard work, taming a Deinonychus means getting a powerful, loyal companion. Keep in mind that the strength of these creatures is shown in packs, as their coordination makes defeating them incredibly difficult. Instead of water, this desert island is surrounded by endless sand, putting any survivor in a challenging position. Water and natural food resources are rare, and you have to use them smartly. Collect water from Jugbugs, Morellatops, or even cactus plants. Perfectly adapted to the climate, game features include heat strokes from too much exposure to the burning sun, sandstorms, and superheat. Even the water from your water jars will evaporate in time.

While the bioluminescent regions of Abberation are indeed a worthy opponent, Crystal Isles resembles a paradise you have accidentally ended up in. There are honey bee hives on the go, gorgeous crystal wyvern walking around the place, and impressive islands all over the map. With an abundance of rare resources and a lot of regions to discover, Crystal Isles is a map anyone would enjoy playing on. However, its size gives the feeling of a vast, rather empty map at times, putting it in 6th place on our list.
