Will is a lifelong creative writer and video game enthusiast with a particular passion for the unique storytelling potential of the medium. Over the course of his childhood, he dabbled in writing his own comics and making his own games with basic game-making software, and in recent years he has delved deeply into screenwriting and short stories, with particular interest in the sci-fi and fantasy genres.

Will's passion for gaming lies within the realm of singleplayer story experiences, especially the RPG genre, though he is always excited by games of other genres that push the medium forward. Favorite games include most Obsidian Entertainment RPGs, all of the Supergiant Games library, the Dishonored series, Deus Ex, Disco Elysium, Outer Wilds, Portal, and Crypt of the Necrodancer. Will loves talking and writing about game narrative with his well-practiced, well-trained academic analysis, as so many games have so much thought put into their worlds and characters that can potentially go underappreciated compared to the gameplay. The unique interactivity of video games leads to so many possibilities no other medium has, and games that take advantage of this deserve a spotlight shone upon them, and games that fail in this aspect or others should be learned from.
