Thrust into the world of gaming at an early age, Alexander developed a deep love for JRPGs (and a particularly soft spot for Nintendo!) when he moved to Japan during his adolescence and was quite taken by the local culture. After graduating from university in Tokyo, he then went on to work a salaried desk job that was just about equally as gratifying as taking a piping hot meal out of the microwave only to discover that the center is still cold. During these times, Alexander found the most solace in escaping into the world of RPGs where life had a bit more vibrance and flair compared to the grey dreg of daily city life. Now, Alex works full-time as a travel journalist in Northern Japan and calls upon his experience in the field to treat games very much as he would travel destinations. Each game is a journey, and the main character a traveler seeing the sights. His hope is that his audience will see all the beauty and mystique that he does when entering the world of the game and become inspired to explore the world around them, both physical and virtual.
