Erica has been playing video games for over two decades now, with a love for games with strong narratives. Their favorite genre is RPG, both of the AAA and indie, Western and Japanese varieties. A psychology and criminology graduate, they have a strong interest in current academic research into gaming and how this effects both the players and society. Areas that they have researched and written on include whether video games really make people more violent, and the potential impact of the representation of race in GTA V. In writing about games they hope they can give voice to underrepresented perspectives within games journalism.
