As a child, Charlie remembers sitting next to his father's computer, watching him as he played PC games during the early 2000s. This piqued Charlie’s interest in geeky pastimes early, which followed him into his teen years. His father bought him ‘The Orange Box’ around 2009, kickstarting his career as a gamer.

Charlie mostly plays games with strong storytelling elements, especially with role playing mixed in. From dating sims to first person shooters, Charlie will play anything. Researching game lore can be just as exciting to him. Once expertly investigating a topic, he enjoys sharing everything he learns to anyone willing to read.

When Charlie learned how to write, his world changed. First he became interested in fictional characters, then world building. He continued on in his academics to be recognized as the top English student of his graduating class. For his senior project, he chose to write a short fantasy novella. Once in college, Charlie learned how to write a more rounded research essay.

Writing about gaming isn’t something Charlie loves just because he can share all he learned, it’s also something enjoyed by him due to the fact it can tremendously help other gamers. From learning if they want a game to learning how to get through a level, Charlie recognizes that often gamers have turned to guides and articles for help. Charlie doesn’t write just to share just opinions and facts, but use writing to participate in the gaming culture.
