Welcome back! This time we are here to talk about strong characters that are easy to learn. There are many things to learn about eternal return so let's take it easy with characters that are beginner-friendly yet still competitive.

This list balances both strengths of the character and ease of learning.

5. Yuki

Poster boy is back in action

With how limited the roster is right now you can expect a lot of returns from our favorite characters. Being the poster boy of the game is more than just signifying how good this character is but also the first one someone who has no idea what they are doing would turn to.

Personally, he is easy to learn yet has a surprising amount of depth to say that you can master the character. His skills all have a certain sense of timing to them and familiarizing yourself with that timing is the only way you can truly optimize this character.

Pros

  • Has a built-in stun
  • Only has 1 skill shot (and its hard to miss)
  • Simple to understand the kit
  • Has a good dash on an ok cooldown

Cons

  • Can get kited by a character with a similar or better dash.
  • He has 2 channeled skills so by playing to that channel time he can be killed.
  • Can be interrupted while farming to put him behind.
  • His kit is easy to understand and easy to play around to beat him.

4. Magnus

Damage can't get through his Jacket

This man on a motorbike is here to kill, he normally is built like a tank but as a bruiser, he can also hold a good threat to others. With a Q that is fast and shot in a straight line, combined with an ultimate that has uses as both an escape and as an engage this man has so many options available to him that it’s mind boggling to see what he can do.

Pros

  • Naturally tanky
  • Kit can CC well and reduce defense to make enemies easier to kill.
  • Good escape potential with Ult and spin
  • Surprising amounts of damage while sticking to enemies.
  • Hard to escape from unless the enemy has multiple escape tools.

Cons

  • Deals less damage than other bruisers
  • Stun is situational and hard to land if enemies are aware of you.
  • Ult is either escape or engage not both.
  • Can be kept at a distance if Q is dodged.

3. Aya

Back at it rocking the top 3 lists

This gun-toting dame is easy to learn and even easier to kill with. While ranged characters have their own learning curve; of judging when you can or cannot kite an opponent. Aya makes it a gradual curve rather than a steep one. With shielding and her superior range, she can kite almost anybody and duel most other ranged characters.

Pros

  • Only really has 2 skills used, 3 if you are on a different build.
  • Inbuilt shielding grants her massive staying power.
  • Natural ranged advantage gives you the first attack on most targets.
  • Point and click, easy to get the rhythm of attacks.
  • Has surprising depth if really mastered.

Cons

  • Can barely do anything to an enemy who can stick and kill faster than she can.
  • Needs levels, so if her farm is interrupted she falls behind hard.
  • Her ult does nothing so there is no power spike.
  • Needs knowledge on kiting.

2. Luke

Cleaner in the streets, Cleanest off the streets

This assassin has a high payoff for surprisingly low risk. While initially intimidating with the massive walls of text that he calls his skills they are easy to boil down to manageable levels. High burst coupled with high lifesteal makes him a beast in a 1 vs 1 situation. Just make sure to land his skills.

Pros

  • Skills fly fast so if you aim at them it usually hits.
  • E is a point and click blink so it is guaranteed to hit.
  • W slows so you can stick to the enemy the whole time.
  • Weapon skill helps him stay alive by pushing other people away or into walls.
  • Strong base stats that keep his damage high and health higher.

Cons

  • If Q is missed enemies can usually escape.
  • Needs to evolve his skills so farming is a necessity
  • Ult takes a little getting used to.
  • Enemies will try to kill you early to avoid fighting you late.

1. Jackie

Guess Who's here?

The chainsaw-wielding maniac tops another list as her kit is exceptionally strong for such an easy-to-learn character. With only 1 skill that requires aiming (if you are even going to use it that is) so long as you do not blow all of your skills immediately you can rotate through them without any problems.

Pros

  • High damage on her auto attacks (so just keep clicking)
  • Good chase and escape with her dash.
  • Her W and her R modify her auto attacks making her hit even harder.
  • Has built-in damage and lifesteal.
  • Relatively tanky for a DPS

Cons

  • If she is kited she cannot do anything
  • Relatively weak to CC and slows.
  • Ult takes a little getting used to land the second half.
